EoCoE-II

EoCoE-II is a European Centre of Excellence for HPC applications H2020 project funded from 2019 to 2021. It is the continuation of the EoCoE grant.

At the cross-road of the energy and digital revolutions, EoCoE-II develops and applies cutting-edge computational methods in its mission to accelerate the transition to the production, storage and management of clean, decarbonized energy. The Gysela5D code is at the core of the fusion for energy scientific challenge of EoCoE-II and the PDI library is at the cornerstone of its approach for IO optimization.

To cite the EoCoE-II evaluation:

The flexible approach enabled by the “Parallel Data Interface” will improve the adaptability of codes to emerging complex pre and exascale architectures, thus improving the maintainability of applications.

I participate in EoCoE as a researcher in programming models for HPC. I am responsible for a task handling the interface between code-specific concerns, IO and ensemble runs using the PDI library. EoCoE funds the work of many of my collaborators, including:

Two open positions are funded by EoCoE-II to work with me: a 2 years post-doc position, and a a years engineer position.
